After being forced to move out of their rooms in late February then move back into their original rooms in early April, residents from Highlands 8 received a monetary bonus of $250 for their struggles.

Allison Drake, the resident assistant for the second floor of Highlands 8, challenged her residents to buy nonperishable items that can be donated to the local food bank.  With her "fill up the lobby" motto, Drake and her residents have gathered a number of food items, toothpaste, soap and water bottles.

They are collecting goods until Monday, May 4.  If you are interested in helping the cause, you may bring items to the main desk in the lobby of Highlands 8.
