Fox & Hound English Pub & Grille recently hosted a charity benefit for Shriners Hospitals for Children. The Fox & Hound is located at 250 Millcreek Plaza in Erie.

The event was held from 6-9 p.m., and the guests got to enjoy a select variety of complimentary samples such as the restaurant's chicken tenders and black forest sliders. The restaurant also featured specialty drinks at a discounted price and $2 pub drafts to draw more of a crowd to the event. But the main focus was that 10 percent of the sales from the entire day and night of Thursday, March 26, went directly to Shriners.

Shriners Hospitals for Children has a mission to provide the highest quality care to children with neuro-musculoskeletal conditions, burn injuries and other special healthcare needs while still maintaining a compassionate, family-centered and collaborative care environment. This mission is carried out without regard to race, color, creed, sex, or sect, disability, national origin or ability of a patient or family to pay. The benefit included live music and entertainment as well as a silent auction with over 20 different sponsors that donated a variety of gift baskets to help with the fundraiser. The event  resulted in a total of $790 in cash donations as well as almost $500 from the total sales being given to the hospital to help them accomplish their mission.
