Mount Pleasant Fall Fun

Over the years, Mount Pleasant of Edinboro has provided the Northwestern Pennsylvania area with family fun in the winter. The local business offers a tubing park, 10 well-serviced runs that range in difficulty for skiers and snowboarders of all levels, a service and rental shop, and lessons from experienced instructors.

With the addition of new trails and a new chairlift over the past few years, Mount Pleasant is looking to expand its boundaries and bring its fun into the fall. This year Mount Pleasant will host its second annual Fall Harvest Festival.  The event will run on the Saturdays and Sundays of Oct. 1 and 2 and Oct. 8 and 9 and will be filled with fun activities and vendors for everyone. Chairlift rides will take you on a scenic tour through the fall foliage all the way to the top where riders will see a beautiful view of the countryside and then back to the bottom. Once back at the bottom, an array of vendors, children’s activities and food will be waiting.

For $5 children can bounce all day in two bouncy houses and also get face painting and enjoy painting a pumpkin. Along with that is an included $5 gift certificate for Mount Pleasant services such as tickets and program fees. Another kid’s attraction will be Jenn’s Pony rides. For the rest of the family, a broad line-up of local vendors will be selling goods. A list of vendors can be found on the Mount Pleasant website.

The final big attraction of the Fall Harvest Festival is the ski swap. People looking to buy or sell used skis, boots, and other ski gear can get rid of or pick up anything for the coming winter months. A broad selection of skis from boy’s and girl’s children’s skis to men’s and women’s performance skis can be found along with boots, helmets, jackets, and other equipment.
