The Edinboro University sport and PE management class hosted an event to break the Guinness Book of World Records for Largest Knockout Tournament Friday, April 8, in McComb Fieldhouse.

The record stood at 701 people, which was previously set by a middle school. Edinboro students and members of the surrounding community came together for the cause with a total of 736 people in participation.  Now the Sport and PE management class must send in all information and wait to see if it is correct and will be approved.

This event included a Chinese auction, mechanical bull, and DJ.  It provided popcorn, snow cones, cotton candy, water, and plenty other snacks for all who were involved.  The winner received a cash prize of $500, and all proceeds were donated to Make-A-Wish.

With the motto of, "Make a Swish, Grant a Wish," participants raised more than $2,500 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
