The Edinboro film series will be presenting the documentary “The Hunting Ground” at 8:30 p.m. March 17 in the Pogue Student Center. “The documentary is about the importance of raising awareness of campus rape and talks to several survivors,” said Katie Richards, treasurer of the film series.

Prior to the screening, there will be a panel discussion with Leslie Shaeffer, an Edinboro student and leader of the Take a Stand against Sexual Violence campaign; Dr. Molly Wolf and Paul Lukach. The discussion is set to start at 7:30 p.m. with the movie following. “People should come see it because we are a college campus and whether you’re a male or female, everyone should be educated about college rape,” said Richards.

The film is about rape crimes on U.S. college campuses, how several universities cover up crimes, and the devastation it has on students and their families. The film was written and directed by Kirby Dick and is rated R.
