Scots battle in Plant City

After a week of baseball in Plant City, Fla., the Fighting Scots Club Baseball team returned to Edinboro with a record of 1-4. It wasn't the result the team was hoping for, but lots of positive things were shown looking forward to conference play in the spring. The Scots won an exhilarating extra inning game over George Mason on the first day, but then dropped the next four to Purdue, Marquette, Ohio State and Indiana.

On the offensive end, the Scots were lead by Gavin Hohn and Noah Pratz, who each had over a .400 on-base percentage. On the defensive end, Ty Hrovrat held down the pitching rotation with two starts, including eight strikeouts in the Purdue game alone.

The team now looks forward to conference play, hoping to make playoffs.  The team was set to open with a three game series against conference leader Slippery Rock March 25-26.
