Get ready to spend an evening at Mushnik's Skid Row Flower shop! Opening at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, Edinboro University's Performing Arts Series will present “Little Shop of Horrors”, a musical with bite.

The show centers around Seymour Krelborn, played by Jessica Rash, who discovers a new species of fly trap. He gets more than he bargains for when he realizes that this mysterious new plant lives off one thing -- blood.

Auditions for this production, which is under the direction of Shaun Taylor, were open to all and took place in mid-December. Since the start of the spring semester, the cast, crew and pit have been rehearsing almost every night to bring the story to life on stage.

“Everyone’s been working really hard,” says Asti, who plays Skip Snip. “It’ll be a show to remember.”

“Little Shop of Horrors” will take place at the Diebold Center for the Performing Arts and will run Feb. 18-28. Thursday, Friday and Saturday productions will be at 7:30 p.m., with a 2 p.m. matinee on Sundays. Admission is free for Edinboro students, $10 for the general public, and $5 for faculty.
