ALBION -- Northwestern's girls basketball team fought until the end, but lost its last game of the season 54-44 to North East on Feb. 9. Northwestern finished the regular season 13-8 overall and 4-7 in region games, while North East has a record of 15-5 and 7-4.

Before the varsity game the following Northwestern seniors were recognized: Scarlett Seneta, Ashley Ackerman, Camry King and Katie Troutman. At the game Northwestern students were given free entrance to the game if they were wearing red and black. For the conclusion of the activities during Senior Night the boosters held a half-court halftime show.

During halftime, anyone who paid a dollar was given the opportunity to shoot a half-court shot. If it was made the person received a $15 gift card to Valenza Restaurant. The two winners from last night were Ethan Williams and Aden Polick.

In the game, Monica Brown, Northwestern, and Alexis Rodenbaugh, North East, each scored 21 points and were the leading scorers.
