A fun community outreach

On Oct. 25, McLane Church's Union City site hosted a costume party to give local Union City middle and high schoolers an opportunity to enjoy Halloween in a fun and safe environment. The church took it on as its duty to eliminate barriers and give students an easy way to invite their friends to church.

The party itself was a success with over 35 youth in attendance, which is near double the normal amount of students in attendance at the normal high school youth group taking place every Wednesday night. While at this party, students were given the opportunity to participate in games such as bobbing for gourds and DIY scarecrows. The church also had fall foods such as fresh apples and apple cider from Port Farms.

Overall the night was a success as many students were able to experience a safe, Happy Halloween.
