Every year up to 20 area high school marching bands spend the fall season competing in marching band competitions. Each band performs a 15-minute show they have been rehearsing since the summer for the judges at a competition. The students, as well as the directors involved with the designing of the shows, are all trying to win awards in the musical, visual and general effect aspects of the judging criteria.

On Oct. 31, LMBA will be hosting the annual Championships competition at which all the bands will compete one last time. This will be happening at Veterans Stadium, located at the corner of 26th and State streets in Erie. The show's opening ceremonies will begin at 3:15 p.m. with the first band performing at 3:30 p.m. Marching bands will be performing all night and the final awards ceremony is scheduled at 9 p.m.

Come out and see these local high school musicians performing shows that range from contemporary music to Broadway show tunes to today's hit music.
