Edinboro Wrestlers Compete at Ohio Intercollegiate Open

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Nate Hagan (141 lbs.) and Cody Mulligan (141 lbs.) finished third in their respective weight classes as five Edinboro wrestlers competed at the Ohio Intercollegiate Open on Sunday, November 11. Peter Pappas finished in a tie for 7th at 157 lbs. The tournament was hosted by Case-Western.

TROY, N.Y. – All 12 Fighting Scots placed in their respective brackets on Sunday at the Journeyman Northeast Open. Edinboro was led by 4-0 performances by both Jacob Oliver (174C) and Dylan Reynolds (197C) as the two claimed the titles in their respective weight classes. The tournament took place at the Hudson Valley CC Sportsplex.

EDINBORO, Pa. – After winning three straight games by large margins on Saturday, the Edinboro wheelchair basketball team won four more games on Sunday to come away with the championship of the Boro Shootout at McComb Fieldhouse. Head coach Jim Glatch's squad is off to a fast 7-0 start, its best getaway in years. They won the first six games by an average of 33 points before holding off Charlottesville, 45-37, in the championship game.

THE RUNDOWN Event: Allegheny Gator Invitational Location: Mellon Pool (Meadville, Pa.) Competing Teams: Allegheny, Edinboro and Gannon. Result: Edinboro finishes in third place with 468 points. The Short Story: Yana Miletska won and qualified for the PSAC Championships in three individual events at the Allegheny Gator Invite. Katelyn Kopacko was victorious in two events, qualifying in both, and Kara Miller won the 1,000-yard Freestyle, as the Fighting Scots captured first place in seven events over the two day invite.

EDINBORO, Pa. – The Edinboro wheelchair basketball team turned in an impressive showing in the opening day of the Boro Shootout. The Fighting Scots got the season off to a great start with three wins. Head coach Jim Glatch's team opened with a 70-25 win over Sportable, followed by a 60-27 triumph over Brooklyn. They wrapped up the day with a 59-36 win over Charlottesville.

TROY, N.Y. – The Edinboro wrestling teams split their opening duals of the season on Saturday, November 10 against The Citadel and No. 21 Wyoming at the Journeyman Northeast Duals. The Fighting Scots got things started with a 19-17 win over the Bulldogs before falling to the nationally ranked Pokes, 33-6 to close out the day. Head coach Matt Hill earned his first career dual win with the victory over the Citadel.
