Join us for EUknighted Hoopy Hour on Wednesday, Feb. 5, from 4-7 p.m. at the Edinboro Hotel. After Hoopy Hour, head to McComb Fieldhouse to watch the Fighting Scots basketball teams face off against the Golden Knights.

Women's game: 5:30 p.m.
Men's game: 7:30 p.m.

All active duty military, reservists and veterans will receive free entry into the games. Donations made at Hoopy Hour and at the games benefit the PA Soldiers' and Sailors' Home.

If weather permits, the university’s observatory will be open for viewing after all planetarium programs!

When: Tuesday, Jan. 28, from 12:30 to 2 p.m.
Where: Multipurpose Room B in the Pogue Student Center

Purpose: iFactory will discuss the design strategy for the University’s new website and how it is being informed by work that’s been completed to date. This work, which has been underway since early fall, has been quite extensive and has included:

• interviews with multiple stakeholder groups
• an analysis of survey results
• development of personas
• an audit of our current site
• creation of wire frames, which will shape the site structure
• a review of mood boards to establish design direction
• SEO/keyword training
• user testing involving students (underway this week)

The town hall is your opportunity to hear an overview of the strategy, receive an update on the status of the project and what is to come, and to ask questions.

GM Elementary students excel in run challenge at Edinboro

Ready, set, run!

McKean Elementary students that were members of Run Club did just that this past weekend at Edinboro University’s indoor collegiate track meet.

The participating students ran two days per week for around two months after school to prepare for a half-mile or one mile run that they completed Saturday.

Run Club began around seven years ago, said Run Club organizer and McKean Elementary physical education teacher, Lisa Roberts.

College coaches and athletes help the students sand serve as mentors for them, she added.

Run Club students work on flexibility, strength, and endurance. The program is a volunteer program staffed by volunteer teachers, staff and Edinboro coaches and athletes.
