Feb. 14 is coming back around in a few weeks, and many still are perplexed on what their plans will be for this day, whether it be spent with a special someone or by themselves. While some might not see northwestern Pa. as an ideal region to celebrate Valentine’s Day,  there are various activities being offered in the region.

Several events are being hosted in the Erie area the weekend of Valentine’s Day.

On Feb. 13, the Bel-Aire Clarion is hosting the “Boots On Ground St. Valentine’s Ball,” at 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. This is a semi-formal/ formal ball to profit the Boots On Ground non-profit foundation.

Boots On Ground or “BOG” is a new foundation focused on veterans and active duty patrons, specifically PTSD and Suicide Prevention. The cost is $50 for a single ticket, and $75 for a couple, which includes dinner.

The Erie Playhouse is arranging a play of “The Addams Family” at 7:30 p.m. Prices range from $13.50 to $22.

The popular comedian, Bill Engvall, will be holding a show at the Warner Theatre at 8:00 p.m. Prices go for $38 to $59.

For the sports couples, the Erie Otters will be going up against the Owen Sound Attack at 7:00 p.m. for $13 to $18.

The Ambassador Center is organizing “Emma’s Footprints Valentine’s Day Masquerade” with Emmy-award winner, Tony Hale and Erie’s best entertainers and food. The event starts at 6:00 p.m. and costs $50.
