If you’ve never been to a corn maze, you don’t know how much fun you’re missing. The Wooden Nickel Buffalo Farm is currently running its sixth annual Corn Maze with over six acres of fun for the entire family to enjoy.

The corn variety grows about 6-8 feet tall creating a thick maze. “Buffalo Dan" uses a zero-turn mower equipped with GPS to cut the pattern of paths into the field. It can take anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours to complete the game and find all 16 mailbox stations. Over two miles of corn maze is open for daytime enjoyment, which is good for families and small children and cold days. If you prefer something a little scarier, bring your flashlight, or rent one for $1, for some nighttime excitement.

For those looking for an exhilarating experience, the farm offers a haunted maze on weekends during the month of October for anyone age 13 and up beginning at dusk. This is a favorite among college students who want to experience the thrill of chainsaws and zombies jumping out of the thick maze in the dark of night.

The Corn Maze is open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Thursday, and from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Friday to Sunday (last entry at 9:30 p.m.). The restaurant will be serving until 9 p.m. on late maze hour days and until 6 p.m. other days. Wooden Nickel Buffalo Farm is located at 5970 Koman Road west of Edinboro.  Tickets are free for kids under 4, $6 for age 5-54, $4 for 55+, and $10 for the haunted maze.
